Import people from Twitter into Clay and use their information for prospecting

A major problem often encountered while prospecting is simply finding people that you want to sell to, as well as efficiently putting their information in an actionable format. This is why we introduced Clay Sources, a way to easily scrape hundreds of people, relevant to your criteria, with the click of a button. One of our favorite sources is having the ability to scrape a Twitter user’s followers or following. Heres how to do it:

The first step in this simple process is going to your “Import Data” tab in the top right corner of your Clay table and finding the twitter section. From there, a small window will pop up asking for a limit to the number of people you want to import (imagine if we didn’t have that, Elon Musk’s followers would crash any computer haha), and then the username of the person you want to scrape. From there, just click run and the users matching your criteria will populate in the table.

From there, you can actually access a ton of each user’s Twitter information straight from your Clay table. This can be super useful if attempting to contact them, as well as for message personalization. Our Twitter source is a super helpful tool and one we recommend you take advantage of. We hope this helps, feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, and happy prospecting!
